I'm 28 and have been paying my mother's car insurance, I'm her cosigner, I've bailed her out of eviction, pay her medicine and groceries time to time..

We are all screwed man, it's just gonna take some time for the rest of everyone to fall

I financed his University of Austin for 4 years. Cost me a fortune, still reeling from costs.

All worth it.

Woo. Not cheap. UT Football team better go 10-2 this year.

Be thankful.

Family is supposed to be there for each other

more than any other

and are supposed to be together

to help each other

because we all need help

and we all can help each other.

Be well.

I will pay him back, but I feel so bad about having to ask him
for help.

For 1000s of yearx, part of the reason for people having children is for having people to take care of parents when they are older. Your son is doing that and he loves you. I think what you did was to use the network of support that you helped raise.

WHY WOULD YOU FEEL SHAME? THE REASON FAMILY EXISTS IS FOR MUTUAL SUPPORT.

THIS IS WHY WE'RE IN SUCH A FUCKED UP POSITION, EVERYONE IS SO FAR OUT OF WHACK FROM THE NORM THAT YOU DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW RELATIONSHIPS WORK.

BEFORE THERE WAS INSURANCE THERE WAS FAMILY.

Ideally

families would have their own little compounds

with several houses nearby

the very old days

before everyone always had to go someplace else.

Don't feel bad.

Be grateful you have a sin that can help. You raised him well, you'll pay him back. You'll always be there for each other.

You are blessed

If your son is worth a shit, he would give it to you without question. I do the same for my parents. I gift them every chance I get.

My parents have their government checks after he retired from the military hired contract killer club. The government takes good care of them after they helped invade and kill multiple countries and I got to live on remote islands most of my childhood. They are well offchuckle
I remember their faces when I first propose that the government carried out 911

Bingo.
If you live long enough and experience enough rough breaks, you will get to watch your kids help you.
If you also live through that, you will get to see your kids be helped by paying them back.

My dad really is a gem, as much of a weirdo as most would think.

He has a heart of gold and if he could, he'd help everyone.
 Quoting: BFD

Yup, I had one of those.
Lost him to the vaxx a couple of months ago.
Within 6 months, organ failure and dead.
But he lived a full life.

op im the one who pinned this. i want you to understand why.

you have nothing to be ashamed of. you took care of your family for at least 18yrs +++

in the golden years its the kids responsibility to be their parents caretakers.

lose the pride. its their turn to help you. thats love bro.
political correctness is a doctrine.... fostered by a delusional, illogical minority...... and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media; which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
