I mean this in all sincerity... how exactly was it above and beyond vile that results in the kind of award those parents got? It seems to me the trial perpetuated the "pain" they claim was caused, not eased it... so I don't "buy" their claims.

People say vile stuff all day long. Just because your kid is dead doesn't make it any more (or less) vile. People need to go remember the sticks and stones adage. We are in such a bad place in society where we are giving power to speech that just shouldn't be given. Speech is not reality without proof. Walk on and walk away...

I can't stand AJ but I think what happened in thar entire trial was a travesty to both free speech and truth. And Jones more or less admitting he did not hold sincere beliefs REALLY damaged the truth so I hold him just as accountable to the charade.

I don't know how those kids died and I actually don't really care how they died. I can have appropiate sympathy and concern for human life without knowing. You know who else doesn't care? 99% of the world that moved on 3 days later after something else caught the glimmer of their tik tok attention span...

All that trial did was bring the subject back into the mainstream. It's not going to help those parents move on. In their defense, if they are sincere victims, it will take them years to realize that part so I'll give them a break in it.

But seriously - just because someone says something vile is not a reason they should lose everything. When people start getting jailed for dead naming or using the wrong pronouns you'll understand. Because that is coming.
