There's not enough info in a 5 second clip.
Did they have weapons?
Did they threaten him?
Had they been there before?
Maybe they said they would come back and kill him.

It is a reckless disregard for someone else's private and personal space with ill intention. It cannot be interpreted in any other manner. The degree of their ill intention cannot be known beforehand. So, it is best to assume the worst and defend yourself in any manner available to you, imo. As for the store owner, NOT GUILTY. That depends on how the judge instructs the jury. Lethal force can only be used when you are in danger. Now would a good defense lawyer get him off? He did jump the counter he also could have had a weapon ..... so maybe As for the thief's I have no pity. I'm not super sure the shop owner was fearful for his life on that last stab in the back of the neck.
