Same logic used when cops unload their magazines on a knife wielding man. You don’t take any chances. If someone is stupid enough to rush at you you don’t have time to wonder if they’re just robbing you or if they’re going to stab you. So, they are fair game. Protect yourself and destroy them. You can not use deadly force for property as a business. Only if your life is threatened. You also can only use the amount of deadly force needed until the threat to life is gone.

If its a private home and they enter then its assumed as life threatening weapon seen or not. Thus using deadly force is ok.


The kid over the counter didn't have a weapon.Therefore it is capital murder .

He had the knife out .. premeditated
he stabbed multiple times intending to kill.
Using the knife he knew the man had no weapon for close quarter combat.

You, obviously never been in combat or severed the people before you served yourself. How was the storekeeper to know he didn't have a gun in his pocket as he jumped behind the counter? He did well.

He posed no threat to the worker before or at the time of the stabbing.

There was no interaction between the thief and worker. The thief did not approach the worker.

Saying the worker's response is okay just because the thief came to the other side is like saying someone should be stabbed/shot if they walk behind the counter at McDonalds.

If he would have gone in bare handed, the 2nd robber could come to the rescue..

The 2nd robber almost came to robber 1's rescue, or was thinking about it, when the knifed robber said that he was dead (So don't bother and save yourself)

Store guy didn't know if the robbers were armed

He chose to be safest as possible without a firearm and went hard on the one he could get his hands on
