My opinion ...this is a no brainer. Jump the counter in an attempt to rob and possibly maim, then you have made a choice that sets all the ensuing wheels in motion. If the result is the shopkeeper planting a blade in yer neck then you have successfully reaped that which you had sown.  All of the periodic wailing and bitching of the pussy crew here aside... This will go nowhere, because the stabee was WHITE. Had he been of a darker "persuasion".. this would be the lead across the country to get the NPCs riled up in a froth.
