He ran it not even one pass. It started on first pull. Looks brand new. New oil. There was no "as is" in the listing

Wish it weren't the case but often the PTO stuff isn't economical for my size operation. The Honda engines ( or Stihl) don't give me trouble . Techumseh etc - all f'ig cause me heartbreak each time I take em out of storage unless I just completely empty them before .. Learning to do your own small engine maintenance - by which I mostly mean - cleaning carbs - will keep your crap running years longer that it otherwise would. You don't even need to "rebuild" the carb. Usually just pulling it off, spraying carb cleaner everywhere and cleaning out the needle and seat will fix most crap. Also make sure your float is not leaking.. Remember its one of three things - spark, air or fuel. And running for a while and dying is almost always fuel.. there could also be some crap in the gas tank being pulled against the intake filter. THIS I learned to buy Honda small engines, but they run so long without problems, I never learned where to look first when a small issue does arise. LOL This season, my 20 year old simple Honda engine push mower still starts with one pull, but started exhibiting an irregular run rhythm with lull spot in it? It's there at all throttle speeds and doesn't go away with the engine cold, warm or hot. Still mows fine and doesn't conk out ever. Oil and spark plug were changed middle of last year and they look good. I cleaned the air filter and added a smidge of 30 SAE oil (80/1) to the gas, thinking that i might have mistakenly filled the tank with the 100% premium gasoline that is my long storage backup gas for my car and emergency generator. That maybe evened the run cycle a tad, but was not a fix. Have been lax about always running the engine dry of gas over winter, but the Honda has always run like a champ even when I don't. I assume it's the carb, because I have never serviced it in 20 years, though former housemate probably cleaned it about 8-9 years ago. Any tips to get me straight to the issue behind this irregular run rhythm will be much appreciated!  The carbs on Honda are just as problematic with ethanol. The air bleeds would clog on mine and cause fuel to drain through the carb just sitting there and not running. Had to take the carb apart and blast every orifice. Air bleeds are the places that look like a BB stuck in a hole. Don't try to remove them, just blast the hell out of them. Thanks.
