All this says is that God loves abusive parents more than the children they abuse, simply because the parent always outranks the child.

No, it's not true. i'm sorry that that is your view of God and His inexplicable grace. i was abused and neglected in all kinds of ways and placed in foster care. it wasn't till much later that, because of God's grace, i was able to forgive both my parents and thus, break a generational curse that was in our bloodline. it was then that not only my parents, but i was set free from those chains that bound all of us. i hope that healing commences wherever you are hurting. i'm sorry.
