I am not disagreeing with you. The only problems I have is the characterization that "most abusers" were "abused themselves". Yes, a significant portion of abusers were abused, but the number of abusers among the abused is a very small portion and many people don't make that designation.

And it's necessary to distinguish these things. It puts a stigma on those of us who were abused as children. Take my ex-wife, she was abused worse than I was by a wide margin, but like me, she'd die to defend her girls, or any kids for that matter!

I was abused by a "bisexual" druggy my mother had the misfortune of meeting, but my ex-wife, God love her, she had several men abuse her and it was the result of her mother dumping her so she could chase trucker dick!

I certainly did not mean to infer that everyone who has been abused will be an abuser, and I apologize if it came across that way.
