Im in the south and I hate it. It IS disrespectful, and in the case of "bud" its absolutely a way of males passive aggressively trying to start an interaction with a putdown.

I ignore women in general but I call men out on it immediately. I dont play that bullshit, I will get a basic level of respect or we wont be interacting.

Yes, unless it’s late in the afternoon when Sunday is almost over, or unless other neighbors are also cutting grass on Sunday, then okay to join in. That’s my policy

I go into town to fix up houses and its just buzzing lawnmowers all day. Anyone within a quarter mile is loud enough to hear.

Amazes me that people pay $200,000-$500,000 to get an ok house next to a busy street with a tiny lawn whose only purpose is to get mowed constantly or generate HOA complaints from busybody neighbors.

I like for sundays to be calm and restful, which may lead one to ask why Im wasting one on GLP.

Its the gas powered 2 cycle blowers that really piss me off....and it doesn't help that they're usually attached to some border-jumping, no speaka type.

I have a dewalt 20v blower and the thing works great and doesn't make much noise.
