If you got veterans or trained LE among your staff, why the hell wouldn't you? An ARs not a demon machine, it's not even the best semiautomatic rifle with the ability to be rigged tactically.

If we're being honest, the H&K 416 is styled after the AR, but puts everyone else in the AR community to shame. And to be frank, I'd trade an AR for AK47. Far less accurate, true. But, they're durable. They don't need pampering. And that 7.62 will smash a concrete block at 100M. Sure, you're only good to 300M, if you're lucky, but in a real TSHTF scenario how often are you going to engage out beyond 300M, hell, 100M?

As for CQB? The Russians and Chinese make it work.
