Just hire a couple ex military guys and hand them each a rifle .
PUt them in the room with all the video monitors.
If a bad guy shows up, they step out and take care of business.
Just putting weapons in a safe could go wrong. What if nobody is working that knows how to handle a weapon? And you have the built in delay while they all draw straws to see who gets the weapon, and then they have to open the safe and check out the weapon to make sure it is loaded etc.
Nonsense. Hire a couple vets! They will keep their weapons shiny clean and ready to rock the moment they are needed. And they have been trained by the best.
Quoting: JustmeTX Shit like this sort of what if worry wart stuff is what got us to where we are now.
Muh only qualified people can defend themselves and others...
You know that actual real world events prove you dead wrong right?
The Indy mall shooter got dropped by a 22 year old from 41 yards away with a fucking glock and he dumped 10 shots got 6 hits and zeroed dude out almost immediately!
Let's compare that to nypd which has had several instances of multiple cops firing 76 rounds from their pistols at less than 10 yards, hitting the bad guy ZERO TIMES, but managing to hit other cops and MULTIPLE BYSTANDERS!
look it up there's also an incident involving 47 rounds that had similar outcomes and even some other ones I don't have memorized.
Turns out when you're scared you're fucking motivated!
Way more motivated than "armed professionals"
Your average 12 year old boy has more than enough strength and dexterity to charge and run an AR15 and I'd say about 90% of 12 year old boys even know where the charging handle is and how to grip and rip it from video games and movies.
Hell there's plenty of 10 year olds who can worst comes to worst pick up a weapon and make it work!
This is the awesome thing about the AR15, it doesn't take a trained professional to operate especially once the adrenaline dump kicks your strength and motivation up to 11.
I fully support this move and am low key disgusted by the reaction it's getting here and all the second guessing and hand wringing I'm seeing.
