If we're being honest, the H&K 416 is styled after the AR, but puts everyone else in the AR community to shame. And to be frank, I'd trade an AR for AK47. Far less accurate, true. But, they're durable. They don't need pampering. And that 7.62 will smash a concrete block at 100M. Sure, you're only good to 300M, if you're lucky, but in a real TSHTF scenario how often are you going to engage out beyond 300M, hell, 100M?

Your average 12 year old boy has more than enough strength and dexterity to charge and run an AR15 and I'd say about 90% of 12 year old boys even know where the charging handle is and how to grip and rip it from video games and movies.

Lol... The 416 is a 10 pound hype beast not the best AR on the market.

You can even get the Gucci steel barrels like hk uses through Daniel defense and a couple other American companies.

I have an AR that full up including light laser optic and outright better parts than hk uses across the board which still costs less than an MR556 (closest thing you can get to a 416 without buying grey market parts) that COSTS and WEIGHS LESS fully kitted out than a naked mr556!
