That hand is a very old symbol, it has to do with witchcraft in Europe and trade in with the Native Americans in the southern states, maybe other natives. This eye in the palm is linked to witches and others into pagan worship in Europe and the Middle East. I don't know why the Native Americans used that symbol, only that it was part of their trade coin, it had entwined rattlesnakes around the outside with the hand with the eye in the middle of it. I forgot what was on the other side of the trade coin or token.
