I myself discovered some interesting things looking at the GOES satellite website, I dont use radar anymore I know whats going on atleast 10 minutes before the news does and its much higher resolution, I knew Irma was turning before they said it on the news about 10-15 minutes later. I noticed where I live along the west coast of central Florida that around 4 in the afternoon the way the earth is in relation to the sun makes the water along there just looks like it starts boiling furiously thats why we get a lot of afternoon showers. |

The old-school TV meteorologists would definitely put in the work. The younger ones on TV today? I’m not so sure. |
