Yeah, messing around with infections in your GI tract is not a good idea. I had ulcerative colitis - I was so sick, lawdy - and was given cipro and flagyl, which I thought was just going to about kill me. I could feel them sucking the life right outta me....heh, but it took care of the issue, and I haven't had a bout with it since.

I am currently taking an emulsified oregano for something else, but it has seemed to help "straighten" out my gut a bit. That was a pleasant surprise.

Lovey, I despise antibiotics, too. I shy away from them when offered to me....but I just don't get sick too much either, because I take care of myself.

There are times we have to coalesce, though.

I took double the amount of probiotics while taking the antibiotics, and I had no candida effect, which happily surprised me.

I don't want to be telling you what to do, but if you take the antibiotics, you'll likely not have reinfection....at least it was my experience that I had no reinfection with whatever I had going on in there.

Sanitize and bleach EVERYTHING you have had contact with, every item you have touched, all cloathing, bedding, and every surface the air born spores have contaminated, including your car, door knobs, rewash everything in the kitchen cupboards, pans and dishes, clean carpets, tub, shower, floors, EVERYTHING.

It can drag on for years and live on surfaces for years.

Thank you so much!! It’s just interesting to see the PCR test come back positive but the toxin come back negative.

I have a follow up tomorrow with my GI And the prescription waiting at the pharmacy. I assume waiting a day ain’t gonna kill me or lead to worse consequences right now my symptoms have gotten much better since I was initially tested 4 days ago. Which leads me to believe my body is healing..

What really works is an enema with a poop of a healthy related to you individual. Cures it with amazing rate, I know it sounds gross but it works

When you have finished your antibiotics then start your probiotics. You do not want them in competition by taking them at the same time.

I think they use that to restore flora after the antibiotic to kill off the bad and prevent new onset reinfection of overgrowth C Diff.

Talk to your GI about your druthers with not wanting to take the antibiotics, and see what they say....they are the "professional" after all, unlike any of us. I just have personal experience. I think most doctors don't prescribe antibiotics anymore unless they're really needed, because they can just stop working for us in the future if taken too much.

Your young, and perhaps the infection isn't so bad, and your body is overcoming it. Talk to your doc, and go from there.

Try keifer milk, kombucha teas, sauerkraut that is high in probiotics, honey and garlic fermented probiotics, ginger, intermittent fasting, Apple cider vinegar very important, and tumeric-curcumin supplements.

See if they will give you Vancomycin- I had C difficile and went on 4 doses per day and it worked.
