Belief in the ME isof course correlated with people who are more assuming, with bigger egoes.
That's why to them the most simple, logical explanation to reality differing from their assumption/memory is different timelines, and not the way our brain works (taking shortcuts through assumptions).
What does it tell about these people they think it's more likely that people from different timelines exist in the same reality?
It says they have huge egoes.
Occam's razor prevails. Most likely is people brains taking shortcuts and refusing to admit it.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83752823 The only one with ego here is you - based on the fact that you have never experienced the phenomenon, you assume that those who have are too stupid to have considered all other logical explanations. Your lack of experience makes you take shortcuts. I can't blame you. How could you possibly imagine something you have never experienced? One day though.. you may experience it, and then you'll remember all the arrogant ignorant posts you made about the topic. Quoting: JADR+ I experience incorrect memories all the time. The difference between me and you is I don't need a multiverse theory to protect myself from the eventuality I could be wrong. I welcome being wrong so I can learn and grow. You prefer to encrust yourself in old beliefs, because it's more comfortable. Soon you'll be a fossil if you keep refusing to reevaluate your beliefs constantly Quoting: Dolan Trumb You have not even started to think about this correctly. We all experience incorrect memories. So what? We're not talking about incorrect memories. We're talking about ONE specific memory not matching reality that is shared by millions of people from different cultures, age groups an geographical locations. And that's just the beginning of the phenomenon. There is much more to it .... You're a clear example of the "Dunning-Kruger effect" Quoting: JADR+ Most people assume the thinker has the hand on the forehead because that's the pose they would take naturally. Nothing magical about this. https://imgur.com/eYp6xZ0
