Validated by Aristotle a couple centuries later that the earth really was a sphere.
Eratosthenes determined the circumference of the earth's around 200 BC.

what annoys me is her saying: the sunlight shining from other angles in different locations proofs the earth is curved. and this would not be possible with a flat earth.

according to flat earth the south pole should be extremely big since it would surround the entire planet. something that gigantic should have a border so immense it would never be possible to protect all of it.
if it would be an ice wall it should be possible to follow it in a complete circle and measure it.
