It likely was short and to the point like many are. The sealed document would be the reasons for the warrant which are not part of a warrant that a person being served would see. Sooner or later the court document will be released IF Trump is charged with anything. Additional information: It's interesting to note that he declassed a few things in October of 2021. Russiagate and Hillary's emails. In this case, it's possible he thinks he declassed documents in his possession, but to do that he has to publicly communicate it, which doesn't appear to be the case. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 83995424 United States 08/10/2022 03:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Former President Donald Trump and his legal team have no plans to release a copy of the search warrant used to raid Mar-a-Lago on Monday, leaving it up to the Department of Justice to detail the reasons for the unprecedented operation, according to a new report. “No, we’re not releasing a copy of the warrant,” NBC News quoted a source close to the 45th president as saying. Trump attorney Christina Bobb did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation from The Post. [link to nypost.com (secure)] They seem to be playing the public a bit here. Again, the reasons for the warrant would not be in the search warrant - so this statement is like Bobb's. They are conflating the warrant with a sealed document. The search warrant simply says what was searched for. Why keep that secret?? |

He may actually be hiding something here. Maybe just embarrassing. Who knows. Leaving it up to the DOJ is genius tho. It takes the proof of guilt and lays it back on the DOJ. |

Some people in the public may want to know. Especially the people that live near the Mar a Lago. Like if a lower mob member lived in a neighborhood and was raided. The neighbors might want to know. It's not just about Donald and the DOJ. And if the warrant was a serious over-reach it would be efit Trump to release it. But obviously if kept secret it gives him a lot of latitude which he is exploiting. |
