The one thing I truly would appreciate not having is a big earthquake and tsunami. This is threatened by several things, big earth movings, and the coronal ejections, and so forth. At just above sea level by about fifty feet, very close to the ocean, I really don't want to have to leap up, grab my dogs, hop in the car and try to get up the hill. The hill is not high enough to protect from a great tsunami, and there is threat a tsunami from here could reach Denver!

No, that's one event I really don't want to see. About several others I am very curious - oil being sick, for example. That is still open, since the war is likely to start, unfortunately, and there are threats to the Saudi oil fields as just part of the ME mess.

I've read the entire thread. He seems to be pretty clear that the 'big oil sickness' is more than economic ups and downs, but that oil becomes linked to something very dangerous and we are forced to stop using it out of necessity of our health.
