My experience
Felt like I had match box cars in my mouth while trying to talk
Gets better later
Fixodent original. Nothing else works as well
Make sure teeth clean and dry before you apply. Get ice water to keep it chill while the glue sets. Wait 40+ min to drink hot beverage. It will dissolve if you don’t. It’s the worst when it happens. Let your teeth naturally. You’ll be able to wipe/ peel extra off with dry tissue. Water makes it tacky and horrible to remove.
I get stain away+ denture cleaner. It’s a great product to clean your teeth to soak. It’s like granular product you can control how much. Tabes get wet waste of money. IMO
Your gums will shrink and you will need new ones down the road.
Have patience with it.

Don't eat toca bell boritoes for the first week. But other than that also Don't listen to the doc and leave them in permanently even at night and you'll be eating leather like a champ. Taking them out every night and you'll hate having them and can't chew butter cream.

I can eat corn on the cod, the cod if I wanted to and the empty tin can I done drank with the meal.

Brush your teeth before bedtime.

What happens to you if you're allergic both to the dentures AND the glue?? (I barfed a piece of 100% cotton, I guess the toxchems in it gagged me, so I'd be allergic to both. ) I gag my dentist's gloves out.

I’m not able to get the implants because of bone definency (spell). I don’t have a bottom bridge anymore. It’s been 12 years since my first set

I'll just add my experience with veneers, as far as "fake teeth" go....

I thought they would just sort of "polish" your tooth and stick the thing on like a fake nail.

NO. They grind each tooth down to an urecognizable little baby vampire spike...so if the veneer falls off, you can never go back to your original teeth.

And if you get veneers, you can never eat like you used to. No pizza, big sandwiches, burgers, anything that requires the front teeth to pull at it. You will be slicing everything up to deliver to your back teeth for chewing.

I had tops for 10 years just got bottoms last week... you need a good week to rest and heal...eat mashed potatoes, eventually you can eat almost anything. my tops dont even need adhesive and a good fit with suction shoudlnt. Stitches in my bottoms are aching today.. I got bone grafts in hopes they take for eventual bottom implants as I hear the bottoms float in mouth and are not great. However so far my bottoms have staying in place using seabond. Had to go in today to get some adjustments for sore spots.. Its a journey, hang in there OP but ya no more tooth pain and a million dollar smile.

Are you having extractions prior to getting the dentures?
If so, those are called immediate dentures, and once you heal, you will definitely need relines.
Top dentures are easier to get used to than bottom dentures, since suction helps to keep them in.
The success of lower dentures depends on the amount of bone present on your ridge.
Adhesives help many people, but a reline down the road is more permanent solution, regardless if the dentures are immediate or not.
Implants are the Cadillac of prosthetic treatment, but they can be very expensive.
Implants can have crowns, bridges, or implant dentures as their final restoration. The implant dentures are the cheapest option, if you go that route.
If you smoke, the chances of implants failing is much higher.
Diabetics also have a lesser chance of success with implant dentures.
Implant dentures are different from standard dentures or immediate dentures.
If implants are not part of your treatment now, they can still be done in the future, should these not work out for you…as long as you are a candidate for them.
