I miss having a dog. We kept a stray that was part Great Dane and part Sharpei. He was the best big guy! We called him Dusty since he was forever rolling around in the dirt!

Some of our best dogs were drop offs. The joys of living in the sticks, but we had a great vet in town that knew what we were doing. We only had to surrender one poor girl. She was born with a leg defect and we couldn't keep her because of the coyotes. Thankfully, the no kill shelter had a space for her. She wasn't much to look at, but she was a little sweetheart.

I like to watch something cute once in a while.

We haven't had a dog in years. Our last one was an older rescue from a neighbor who got sick. she died when my granddaughter was still pretty small.

It sounds mean, but I sure noticed the lack of a food vacuum cleaner after she ate.

It might be different if we had a fenced yard, but we live in an apt. We're to lazy to walk it.

Our cats are all we can handle now. Butters is a full time job!
