I think the reason they are holding so hard to this obviously false hypothesis is that they want science to be the authority that tells our origin story and not leave it open for religions to tell credible story.

However, knowing just how liberal or "lefty" a person is or isn't tends to be a very good window into their soul.

Generally, the more liberal a person is, the more likely he or she will say "fuck that" to honesty, logic, common sense, integrity and ethics when those traits run counter to that person's political preferences and ideological biases.

So a guy who 30 years ago wrote a book titled "The Big Bang Never Happened" is saying the early JWST images are confirming what he's been saying for years? I'm a bit skeptical.

It doesn't appear to disagree with the Big Bang but rather discusses the shapes of early galaxies showing early galaxies formed different than some models predicted.

It was called the Big Bang by famous astronomer Fred Hoyle, a man of GOD, because he thought the theory was absurd, so the name was an insult.

Astronomers are only as smart as their limited "scope" of what they can see with the technology that is available at the date that they make their assessments. It is almost comical to what them become so "perplexed" every time they realize that they were dead-wrong about something that they may have even authored books and received awards for.

Listen to an astrophysicist that knows his stuff demonstrate how the 200 different unique conditions that must exist for life to exist are evidence of hyper fine tuning thus evidence for an intelligent designer aka God.
