I am pretty sure that ex-presidents retain the right to a diplomatic passport. So they can go make speeches in Abu Dhabi and shit. I don't know that for a fact, never having been an ex-president myself. Presidents are allowed to keep the diplomatic passport that they were issued. These have a five year expiration date, so it's likely that is the one that is expired. Former presidents cannot renew a diplomatic passport. |
