In court, Jimmy said that if not for him, Walter White would have been dead or in jail in a month. Jimmy set him up with Gus, laundered his money and taught him what to do. He wasn’t bragging, he was taking responsibility because he caused Chuck's death and was regretting it (The Time Machine).

Walter White wasn’t the true architect of Heisenberg, he only created the need and character. Saul Goodman made Heisenberg happen.

You saw the cracks starting in Saul's character after the call with Kim.....his actions at the cancer guy's house showed he wanted to be caught even tho he himself wasn't sure why he was doing these risky things.....

I’m ok with it, it had a bit of a Casablanca ending to it. And given jimmy and Kim’s love of old movies, that worked rather well.

What a downbeat ending. Breaking Bad was like that too. I actually think that Vince Gilligan isn't a consistently great writer. He has moments of self-indulgence and just steers things in the wrong direction.

I'm actually growing tired of these, "dark dramas" as the world itself is so dark and depressing now, I feel the need for a TV series that is uplifting without being schmaltzy. I find it a drag and depressing when a dark drama ends... on a dark, depressing note.

Jimmy McGill was no saint, but he didn't deserve 86 fucking years in prison with murderers, rapists, degenerate psychopaths. It was a mixed bag of a story, some amazing moments, but it should have ended with Jimmy doing seven years and then showing you him as a redeemed man.

Gilligan said a few days ago that his next project will be nothing like Breaking and Saul, so good luck to him, hope he outdoes himself.

When there was so much mentioning of time machines,and Walter White telling the story of inventing something really great, I thought Walter invented a Time machine and Jimmy (Saul by then) used it to go back to the beginning and have a do over. Especially when Chuck was so nice to him in Jimmys black and white flashback. And Chuck had a Time Machine book.
