Quoting: Seventh son In the seventies - another ice age in 10 years... In the eighties - acid rain will destroy crops in 10 years... In the nineties - the ozone layer will be destroyed in 10 years... In 2000 - the glaciers will all be gone in 10 years... In 2010 - the coasts will be under water in 10 years... NONE of this has come to pass- but it did result in higher taxes... EVERY TIME!!! If the environment was in danger and legislators truly wanted to save it, corporations wouldn't be allowed to buy waivers. |
