You do know you will die some day. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84022192 I was actually thinking about this last night as I contemplated all the things I would like to be doing but won't have time to do in the paltry 20 years I might have left. My activities in Heaven, then back on earth during the Millenium, and beyond, will probably be much the same as my current personal projects, but with much greater intensity. But I might goof off and decompress for the first hundred years or so. I think it would be neat to to have multiple hundred or thousand year existence. I had interest spread out so far in this run, that I literally did nothing in life. Now, it seems like 50yo is the cut off; I have no interest in any of it. It would be nice to have the time to actually complete and accomplish a thing or two during a lifetime. Maybe even get a fair shake at a family. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 79181473 United States 08/16/2022 02:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I figure the most likely outcome is that it will be eternal slumber. Oblivion. That does not sound too bad. However, I do hope that we do get an everlasting afterlife. Of course one that is good and pure. There are three things I would hope for in an afterlife. First is being reunited with loved ones. This includes the fury four legged ones we left behind. The second one would simply be knowledge. Being able to see and experience the mysteries of the universe. The last but not least is having our own personal playground where we get to do things that we always wanted to try or things that we love to do here. For example I'll never get the chance to fly a plane. Maybe in the afterlife I can. I'm a lousy golfer. Perhaps I could play with the pros. This "personal playground" would last for an infinite amount of time. So maybe that is why we are here on Earth. To take a roll of the dice that we have a good life and learn new things and create new experiences. We may do this over and over, and each time we die and return to our true selves in the hereafter we have a little bit more knowledge to draw on. What is 80 or so years to an eternal being? It's literally nothing. Who knows? Maybe we lost a bet in the afterlife and got sent back to Earth. Maybe it's a "hold my beer" moment and we go back just for shits and giggles. Again a lifetime on Earth is literally zero time to an everlasting being. Okay with all that said my actual answer to the question of the thread is the following: - Of course I want to see my loved ones again. I want to see my parents. I want to see my cats and dogs I've known throughout my life(lives). It doesn't matter if I lived a million lifetimes here and have had a million set of parents and ten million pets. When one lives an eternity you could spend an infinite amount of time in the afterlife with an infinite amount of people and be no closer to expiring your time then if you spent zero time doing so. Again any number = zero compared to infinity. - I would love answers to some questions. How where the pyramids built? How much fraud was there in the 2020 election? What are the secret ingredients in KFC? - As for the "personal playground" I could only list things that I like to do or always wanted to do in this lifetime. If I truly lived a million lives before and will live a million after (our and infinite amount really) I can't really speak for them at this time. As for what I will take from this life, I would love to spend a lot of time doing nothing but relaxing on a hammock on a summer day sipping an iced tea not having to worry about time because I literally have an endless supply of time. Oh and the 72 wives that one religion promises would be nice too. |

So, I'll start with exploring our own solar system, starting with the moon. Likely, I'll try to take a break to get ready for another incarnation on an earth type planet, because my soul is probably not pure enough yet and cannot be trusted with full access to the inherent creative and destructive power of a soul without limits. |

No brain... nothing possible. One has to have an advancing spiritual form not needing a physical brain . your soul is your memories. but what are your memories without the actual physical existence of those things you remember? here is a clue, your SPERM is your memories. your sperm is what creates your new body. your mind is what commands your testes to produce sperm. |

Quoting: sorrow'sTear I know it's short sighted, but like some others, I'd like to try another run at this same scenario. If I'm allowed to keep a thought or two, I'd like a chance to actually live this life, instead of being dragged along by it and existing in just reaction and scarcity. The problem is, you will NOt be allowed to keep a thought or two. Your memory will be wiped off clean to the point that you will remember nothing! Just like right now, what do you remember from any previous ereincarnations? Why then you will be willing to be experimented on by parasites yet again? |

The potential for a wonderful life, regardless of parasites, is amazingly high on this timeline. I'm just getting my feet wet, yet 3/4 or more of my life has passed. I want a chance at the full experience. I don't believe in a wipe so much. What would be the point? It would be like going to first grade, year after year after year after year, and never progressing. You can't make it to second grade if everything you learn in first grade is removed at the end of the year. |
