Uh. No actually. Belt Line Hwy (so named because it was supposed to be a complete loop around Eugene - only 1/2 finished) opened around 1966. The name was co-opted by the Pape family and renamed "Randy Pape Beltway" in 2010. No one except the Pape family wanted it. The joke is now "Randy Rape Beltway" because of how easy it is to turn the P into an R.

No one calls it Pape Beltway. It's still Belt Line and will always be Belt Line. Pape and his family can go fuck themselves.

A friend of mine from Louisiana lived there for a few years. He had a good job as a programmer, but hated it so much that he moved back to New Orleans. He said it was full of libtards and nasty, hairy chicks who wouldn't fuck him.

I like Eugene very much.

It’s beautiful and green because it has lots of rain.

There is a trade off well worth it if you like green spaces.

My favorite food coop ever is in Eugene, go there they have the best food.

It’s a really unique community, there are homeless but they are everywhere nothing new.

Everyone is a runner it’s a big running and mountain bike community.

I’d live there.

Breitenbush Hot Springs is just east of Eugene, and the Pacific Coast is about an hour's drive to the west.
