"They do not have the right to vote, they have been disenfranchised under Florida law. Amendment 4 that passed specifically included people who have been convicted of sexual assault and homicide from being able to have an automatic restoration of their voting rights. They did not go through any process, they did not get their rights restored, and yet they went ahead and voted anyway," said DeSantis. How did they vote? Fake ID? Still on the list? What? The political operatives probably voted for them from "the list". |

I don't like that they take away your right after a crime. Same thing with guns. If you have a financial conviction, that doesn't make you dangerous. Once you have served whatever time you have been given by the criminal solstice system, you should be allowed to vote and to possess arms. You really can't realistically suggest that a man convicted of a non violent type of crime is at a higher risk to shoot someone that doesn't need shooting, or he looses his constitutional rights. The whole thing is a lie, really. The people who should be in prison are not. |
