Noffee - a coffee replacement that tastes fantastic | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 83697881 United States 08/20/2022 11:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I do almost the same thing with matcha, cacao, and monk fruit sweetener. I can still drink one cup of coffee in the morning but it is still not enough some days. 2 cups of coffee messes my tummy up. The matcha and cocoa with just a little monk fruit powder for sweetness gives me a little more energy with no tummy problems. I start with the matcha and cacao drink and I add different herbs to a second diluted cup on days when I don’t need more caffeine. I have many herbs that don’t taste great… so the cacao helps make almost any herb more palatable. The matcha powder is still strong enough to taste through the cacao and herbs. A perfect base for almost any combination of herbs. I thought I had my own secret energy booster recipe! Laughs… Thanks for sharing. |

Quoting: BoatyMcBoatface I learned that coffee spiked my blood sugar and caused inflammation, so I had to find an alternative. What I concocted has almost the same amount of caffeine as coffee (70mg/cup compared to 90mg/cup), and tastes amazing hot or cold. Zero carbs, 100% natural! Prerequisites: - Matcha tea powder: [link to www.amazon.com (secure)] - Peppermint powder: [link to www.amazon.com (secure)] - Monk fruit sweetener: [link to www.amazon.com (secure)] - Electric whisk: [link to www.amazon.com (secure)] Recipe: Makes 20oz 2 teaspoons of matcha tea powder 1 teaspoon of peppermint powder 2 teaspoons of monk fruit sweetener (2 teaspoons of cacao [not coco!] powder if you want it to be mint chocolate flavored) Add ingredients to a 26oz glass. Add hot water until it reaches about 2/3rds of the glass. Whisk for 30 seconds with the electric whisk (or 60 seconds with a manual one). Tastes great over ice too, which doubles the amount it makes. You may want to double the sweetener though, since things taste less sweet when they are cold. Enjoy! Just had some with breakfast that included carbs. Blood sugar reading 1 hour later: 133!!!! caffeine in any form spikes blood sugar. Yea though I walk thru the valley of gross inability to recognize the absurd ..lies...propaganda and dark shits... I will fear it all NOT.. for THOU ART WITH ME. AND JESUS SAID ON THE CROSS.. FORGIVE THEM FATHER.. THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO |

I usually have 1 (sometimes 2) 20oz servings of this tea and I do fine compared to coffee which raises my blood sugar by 30! ```````````````` ````__/\__`````` ~~~\____/~~~~ .~~..~~~....~~~ ~..~~~....~~~~ Thoughts do not come from you nor God; you do not create thoughts; you are not your thoughts; every thought is a lie. - 2 Corinthians 10:5 - [link to www.biblegateway.com (secure)] |

I am insulin dependent anyway... and the spike from the coffee I just chose my dose of insulin before I eat and drink coffee... All foods raise my blood sugar.. eggs... (proteins)... fats.. carbs .. all of it. My system has changed since when I first went on insulin over 20 years ago now Last Edited by Mother Maggie on 08/20/2022 09:28 PM Yea though I walk thru the valley of gross inability to recognize the absurd ..lies...propaganda and dark shits... Cylon cinnamon helps regulate blood sugar, too. So that's an added benefit.
