Deliberate attack, next....
Real Eyes, Realize, Real Lies.....

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
~H. L. Mencken~

We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.
~Plato~

When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations,
the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.

It's better to learn how to want for nothing and see within all that is needed rather than to advise others to consummate and fuel their addiction to consumption to serve the ends of the ones driving the crises that call for greater consumption.

Is Pete who it is to be propped up as the next false persona political savior promising everyone access to what they are taught to want or are you just drawing a random straw?

I'm wondering why Ohio wasn't included on that list.

I'm just guessing here, but probably because BP has a refinery in Toledo?

BP just sold their 50% ownership of that refinery in Toledo to Cenovus. It is a MUCH SMALLER refinery than the BP refinery near Chicago, only 160,000 barrels a day versus the 430,000+ barrels a day at the Indiana one.

We should know by EOD Monday how much production will be lost with the Chicago area BP refinery that had the fire. Until then ... KEEP YOUR TANK FULL!! since petroleum related products may end up being in short supply in the states that received product from that largest in the Midwest oil refinery.

In Ohio in addition to the Toledo refinery there is also the Canton Ohio Marathon Oil refinery (100,000 barrels a day) which serves the eastern part of Ohio and the large Marathon Oil refinery just across the river from Ohio in Kentucky (Ashland - Catlettsburg - 277,000 bpd) which serves southern and central Ohio in addition to Kentucky.

(fwiw: Marathon is the largest refiner in the US with a daily capacity of 2,884,000 bpd AFTER they shut down several refineries during the Covid pandemic [link to www.eia.gov (secure)] )

Thanks for adding all of that. I didn't know BP sold out and I have a family member that works there. I guess it's time for an "auntie" phone call.

I thought there were more refineries in state. I just wasn't sure.

Re: BREAKING:Energy Emergencies Declared After BP Refinery Fire In Indiana
I live 5 miles from this refinery in Whiting. This refinery has had many incidents over the years, with many people getting injured, and some killed. The worst one was the big explosion when I was a toddler. I remember looking out the north window of my parents home, and seeing the sky looking like it was on fire. About a week later, after everything calmed down, my Dad piled us kids into the car, and we went there to see the damage. I may have been very young, but I clearly remember the wrecked houses, and the twisted metal beams of the destroyed part of the refinery.

When it blew, it literally killed a kid sleeping in his bed, and cut off a leg of his brother in another bed in the same room. It literally wiped out a whole residential neighborhood. BP, which was Standard Oil at that time, bought up all the homes in that neighborhood to create a bigger buffer around the refinery, just in case.
Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!!

The U.S. Department of Transportation has declared a regional emergency for Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin after a fire shut down the BP oil refinery in Whiting, Ind., the largest in the Midwest, though there hasn't been an impact on gas prices so far.

I believe 25% of the fuel for Michigan comes from that facility, this could really make things interesting

Michigan governor enacts state of energy emergency after refinery fire threatens fuel supply

(CNN)Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has enacted a state of energy emergency following an electrical fire at a BP refinery in Indiana that threatens to disrupt fuel supply, the governor's office said Saturday.

The executive order issued by Whitmer lifts hours-of-service rules for the transport of gasoline and diesel and temporarily suspends certain laws and regulations to increase fuel supply stock.
"I am taking action to help address Michigan's fuel needs after a fire and power outage at a BP refinery in Indiana," Whitmer said in a statement. "The impacts of the outage at the Whiting facility will be widespread across our region, and I am taking proactive steps to help Michiganders get the fuel they need to drive their cars and help businesses keep their products moving."

She will help by closing down Line 5? She will use this to fuck over the citizens of Michigan guaranteed
