Never mistake incompetence for a conspiracy when incompetence abounds. And that is just what this is. Over the last several months since about April there have been a lot of dumb industrial accidents. A lot of people simply not following protocols. This is the first real summer after the lockdowns and a lot of it is thought to be because people are not having their mind on their work and doing things the wrong way. Call offs have been massive. Why? They are not sick. They want to take advantage of the warmer months and go out and play. Especially this new young generation coming up. I was actually right next door to BP when that fire happened. It is what it is. The shut down is les about the damage from the fire and more about making sure the safety systems were not damaged and that everything gets checked out so that there now isn't a cascading series of events that make matters worse. Contractors are already in there and this area has a slew of professionals who work on these things constantly. I am sure they will make quick work of it because it is costing far more dollars to have that facility off line than they would be gaining by any price increase. Sometimes a cigar is a cigar and if you think everything is a conspiracy then you have already been so gaslighted you are worthless in any rational thought to help the real issues in this country. Quoting: Copperhead This is what happens when you have to run at nearly full capacity to supply the fuel needs of the nation, any incident like this can put a strain on the whole system. And the oil companies are making such a high profit that they're not going to invest anything Time for us to have a state oil company and let the government run things for a while. Trump the devil didn't say or do shit about refineries either, but he was over there before any States on his 1st foreign trip having king sword and orb festivals making peace deals May 2017. He talked shit and threw miyog bones. Trust the plan. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 81400162 United States 08/28/2022 11:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | who keeps starting all these fires..like this "electrical fire" that took this refinery off line? Quoting: Butterfly girl I’m guessing it is the same people trying to kill us lol BP has a long, sordid history of unsafe operating practices in order to minimize costs and maximize profits at the expense of their employees' lives. Sometimes companies are so downright shady that they themselves come up with the conspiracy theories put into the collective mindset by their media conglomerate partners in order for blame to be shifted onto scapegoats that bear no responsibility for the fuck ups of the company. The water that comes out of that plant is fucking drinkable. The refinery uses Lake Michigan to cool the plant. The fishery at the discharge is well known They cleaned their act up years ago but I am sure required a lot of arm twisting. Yet you fuckheads buy tons of Chiinese goods where they have 0 pollution controls. . |

Yep. Sometimes. But when you see a string of events all pointing towards a massive population reduction, people tend to be, and should be, suspicious of damn near everything, especially with an administration who would catch fire should they put their hand on a bible Malu |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77680531 United States 09/08/2022 08:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The U.S. Department of Transportation has declared a regional emergency for Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin after a fire shut down the BP oil refinery in Whiting, Ind., the largest in the Midwest, though there hasn't been an impact on gas prices so far. Quoting: Justsayno I believe 25% of the fuel for Michigan comes from that facility, this could really make things interesting [link to www.forbes.com (secure)] British petroleum is a purely satanic monsanto type bunch that is actively in the conspiracy to make earth a total piece of sht with dumb white slaves that will do anything. |
