The Texas Department of State Health Services announced the death of the monkeypox-infected individual in a press release Tuesday morning. However, the agency’s statement claimed that “infection with monkeypox is painful but not life threatening.” The individual was living in Harris County, near Houston, TX. John Hellerstedt, the Texas Health Commissioner, continued to push the narrative that males can continue to engage in homosexual activity, despite the dangers that come with the virus.
