What was her point?

She was angry, and would have been more effective standing back and calling out that the police supported tyranny. They might have felt bad.

Did she think she was wading into the crowd of armed men and slap box them into submission?

If you want to take on a corrupt armed force (Not that I'm saying the police fit such a thing, but a real collection of people who are held/hold themselves above the law...)

1. Increase the numbers on your side. Get your own crew going, and do not fight if you can't outnumber the bad guys four or five to one.

2. Arm up first. Any weapon is better than none, but matching or exceeding the bad guys as to the ability to produce force is important.

3. Get them alone. Track and trace the bad guys, and when they are separated and alone, then you, in a group, takes them.

4. Be prepared for the backlash. Wear masks, wear gloves and as soon as the deed is done, all of you vanish.

Do NOT run. Do not call attention. Know your escape route first, avoid being seen and dispose of the weapon the did the deed inside fifteen minutes.

I'm sure that such things won't be needed. Especially in a country where the President keeps pointing out that the good guys would need F-15's to fight a tyrannical state...
