Yes, absolutely!/s In reality, and I'm an old guy that has been around for a few years, generally the only way that a kid died when I was growing up was by sheer stupidity. In grade school and high school, there were two seperate instances where a kid died by wearing headphones to bed at night and tossing and turning enough to wrap the cord around their neck and strangled themselves. Sad deal for sure.

Another time in high school, a kid died while 'cliff' diving into a nearby lake. Kid didn't check out what was beneath him before he jumped and went head first into a barely submerged rock. Oh well...

Of course there was always the car accident, too, where the kid tried to take a corner meant for 30-40 mph at 80-100mph. But I can never remember any medically induced fatalities, like those that are occurring today on a regular basis.

College football started last weekend I am just waiting to see this live. Fkn tragic. And all we can seem to do is watch. At what point do these demons get slayed for this?

YUP kids almost NEVER died like this. Now it's an almost daily occurence.

i played two sports in high school and never, ever did i ever hear of anyone dyding. ok, maybe some injuries, espeically in football, but, nobody dropping dead on the field.

One of our high school athletes died of leukemia at the age of 39. Handsome, football and basketball player. Nice guy. Then a very good friend of mine, who married her high school sweetheart, died at 42 from a brain aneurysm. We had 109 in our class....small school, so it surprised us all. No Covid or vaccine at the time.

But the point stands. Right now across America hundreds and hundreds of Division 1 soccer players are training and competing at the top level. And you don't hear about many dying.

Reality is the deaths are still rare-ish. Lots of people only got one shot. For lots, that shot was a placebo. For the ones that got multiple shots, odds are that for many the second or third shot was a placebo.
