It's conventionally taught there is a start-to-finish 7-year end times tribulation period, but when we look at the origin of that theory (some peg it to a Jesuit priest named Francisco Ribera, circa 1590), and put it side-by-side with the actual literal bible text in the ancient language, I just don't see any reason to put God in a 7-year box.

For example, why did the Jesuits assume the phrase "time, times, and dividing of time" in Daniel and Revelation must unquestionably be 1,260?
