Lots of people have been buying guns over the last two years. There's even little "self defense" militias springing up because they think Trump supporters are out to get them. Democrats forgot, the people who were ruling the south were democrats and Lincoln was a republican. Not everyone in the South was a democrat, either. For some reason, the reconstruction years were democrats. We were republicans in the South, but they put a democrat group in charged. My area of the state was Republican and even voted for Lincoln. Congress in DC were not Republicans at the time.

As things get worse, going to the grocery store (for as long as they have food) is going to become a tactical evolution that demands at least two people to do. (Really you want 3 so one can stay in the vehicle and preferably keep it moving while the other two are in the store shopping only stopping long enough to load up with one person behind the wheel gun below the window line just in case.

Your best bet is to minimize risks and maintain enough vigilance in public at all times to convince shitty people to try for an easier target.
