A glimpse of what housing will soon look like in America by 2030
450 sqft 1 bedroom micro apartments in 100 story high rise complexes.

This is Hong Kong, and the future in every metropolitan city in America.

These are already going up everywhere in California, and it's only a matter of time before the suburbs and rural towns are completely destroyed across the US.

I'd rather have a small apartment built well so I don't hear people above and around me and then an apartment where they build it out of sticks and I can hear pounding and screaming all around me.

More likely it will be a small one that I can still hear everything because they build these things cheap as s***

America can't even build one of these towers in a year, let alone enough to house everyone in every city of every state in 8 years.

How much for a penthouse apartment on the edge of the site? I bet it has a nice view.

I've toured a few of these in Oakland, not 100 stories high but similar in many ways,450-500 sq feet, completely teched out with cameras outside each room, appliances you can control with your smart phone, and just a very eerie feeling where everything echoes like crazy.

Doesn't give you that homly feeling at all, you almost feel like you're living in a voluntary jail cell. No lie

Hong Kong is only the size of Los Angeles, with twice as many people.

America sprawls outwards.

There are still completely undeveloped areas.

about half of our population likes living in cities. urban
tract homes surround them. there is not much privacy with
tract homes, but city dwellers think that it is an upgrade.
they are just like a bucket of worms that are slithering and sliming
all over each other anyways.

many will be thrilled at these micro apartments. they will
be able to continue the sliming with a gleeful look on their
faces.

Agreed, but then you have fires burning all throughout the west coast torching the suburbs and urban areas that sprawls outwards where many people like to live and then blaming it all on climate change.

Most of the land in the west is owned by the federal government, I believe Nevada tops the list, so if the government doesn't want housing on their land, they'll just torch it.

All part of agenda for sustainable development by 2030

Look at how much WORKING HOMELESS America already has. It’s bloody obvious to anyone that the plan is to leave them to rot and just build more luxury apartments for rich snobs.

Either that or soviet style ghettos. There are also TONS of apartments going up in major metro areas all over the US. All you need to do is look on Zillow at the number of apartment units that are available or coming on-line. Even a luxury 3-4 bedroom, 2+ bath apartment will feel like a prison due to the lockdowns.

Asia 6 billion. Rest of the world 1 billion.

NEOM cities (Saudi) are supposedly more efficient because they are in a line. They hold 1 million and up in population.

These do seem like people pod processing buildings, permanent hotel like structures to maintain landscape without the litter and destruction that humans cause.

It's all fun & games until the Dogman stands up

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy Shit! What a ride!"

In times of trouble, I ask myself, "What would Sarah Conner do?"
