"Everything you need in one place", groceries, stores, hospitals, etc. "No need for a car". Self contained with their own utilities, schools, parking garages, sewage plant, etc. I drive past it on my way to the airports in NY and there's no way I would ever live there even if it was my last avaiable option in life.

That sounds a lot like my place except I have 7 acres. I wouldn't trade it for anything. It's paid off with cheap property taxes. The winters can be hard but the nearest neighbor is a mile away. With farmers owning most of the land out here combined with the gravel roads and harsh winters I don't think I have to worry about neighbors anytime soon.

That’s really interesting, just think of the infrastructure you need to support those buildings. Power, water, sewer and also bring in food for all the people that live there. Just getting people in and out to go to their work as I only see a small road to the one side of the building.

Under green new deal BS you have to use solar and wind to build everything. Cant successfully build structures as these without traditional machinery ran on gas and oil etc..

They cant have both.

Where is the parking garage?

WEF said people would have no reason to even leave the place. it would come with malls, theaters, workplaces, schools, medical places etc...

Thats always the issue is the build...i would likeconcrete floors and thick insulated walls with laminate windows so each apt cannot hear the other or traffic outside but aint gonna happen

Me and the wife lived in a 400 Sq Ft apt in Manhattan for 5 years it is doable but no kids (that will require another adjoining 400 sq ft apt) no storage otherwise you are free of the burden of things.

I will admit, there is a segment of society that would be happy to live in a 10 x 10 stall

Ergonomically speaking, there is no way the WEF will be able to get Americans into a city like Hong Kong as pictured. That is nothing but a WEF wet dream. A very small part of our population lives in the city. Most of the big cities, like LA, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Seattle,etc. etc. have become cesspools of crime, drugs, and homelessness. I believe that in the USA, people will be fleeing the cities in the next 50 years....If the people of Hong Kong want that dystopian life style of living like a trapped rat more power to them....no thanks, not for me pal!

i think their tactic is to threaten something super bad and then when you only do something 'a little bad' people wont be as shocked. lol

Maybe we are already living in the meta-verse.

Unfortunately the sewage will probably be piped to a reclamation plant in the basement, processed and piped right back to the taps at the top. That is probably where they will raise the bugs too, on the sewage, then process them into soylent brown crackers. Of course they will be euthanizing a lot of people, and everyone at thirty, so there probably plenty of space, since most of them will be sterilized to boot. As far as power, you will probably only get an hour, per level for the whole day. Everyone should plan accordingly. After all your virtual goggles that make it all seem beautiful and bearable won't charge themselves.

I know the gall of people not willing to work to support people that don't want to work. Don't they know homeless deserve everything but shouldn't have to work for it.

How are they "going up everywhere in California" when much of California has earthquake building code that limits building heights?

Most of California is ranches with no basement.
