Looks like a bungee would have just slammed straight down into the ground, not slung her into a wall. Quoting: Ultra MAGA Oaken Paw According to the article, there was another rope attached to a tree that failed. Apparently it was more of a freefall rope stunt than a bungee cord. The other rope was supposed to limit her swing. FCK the WEF! Keep your hands off my country! |

Quoting: Karlgel Oh well... that's what we've become... Having said that, indeed why didn't anybody try to stop her? Just a nudge could have been enough. But I guess everyone thought nothing's going to happen, because this "guru" did it. God's way of telling people - don't worship anyone else. It's not funny, it's terrifyingly tragic but what's done cannot be undone. I'm sure her friends and family are devastated. Sad. |

My class was on a field trip, I told my classmates that I will do it if they pay for it. They did. So I did. And the guy running the thing said the rope can carry 1500kg. My body weight at the time was around 80kg, so I figured it's ok. Only later in high school I learned that 80kg multiplied by the acceleration 9.81m/s2, over the duration of the flight of 1.5-2.0 seconds, my body weight on pull-back was around that mark. Been interested in physics ever since. |

For me --GLP is the only outlet that I can sort the Bull Pellets from pure out Propaganda and still come out ahead. Have a Great Day! *goes* Avid reader and radio listener here. Ironically it was the MSM that came up with the political colour scheme. [link to www.smithsonianmag.com (secure)] *goes* Damn it! I never said I got out in the top of class Humpday have a good rest of the Hump AC. Jed Eckert: C'mon! We're all going to die, die standing up! Why is it that an economic theorist called an "expert", but a conspiracy expert is called a "theorist"? The only time an aircraft has too much fuel onboard is when it is on fire. . . . Presuming you actually DO mean an airplane; 1. it depends on the plane (how heavy, how much lift, how much available lift) 2. The forward speed and the attitude of the jumpee, the combined wind resistance going forward and if that overcomes the plane's stall speed 3. The combined power of all the engines at max power. 4. Earth's gravitational pull at that exact location. 5. Stuff. 6. I skipped black matter. And Quantum of Solace. Does that satisfy your query? |
