Don't get me wrong, we are in the same boat.

Our mirror was $20 (yard sale), it is a 900mm dia parabolic mirror from a WWII searchlight. Our collector is a cut down 105mm shell casing (thick brass), we wound a coil of annealed copper pipe inside the shell casing, set it into the focal point and filled it with light machine oil. A simple (cheap) solar tracker keeps it aligned and we are getting oil temps to 500 deg C. Very handy to create steam for driving a turbine and a host of other applications, such as distilling grey water for drinking.

The equipment he's using is akin to an industrial pressure cooker and it was invented long ago.

They threw every type of carbon you can imagine in it even poop.

And that is where it got interesting.

Because it turns out sterile, bacteria free, briquettes that can be burnt. Like coal.

And a mysterious liquid. Depending on the settings of the machine, that is a precursor to biodiesel or its components and is very useful.

They should recycling sewage for energy. Both heating and fuel.


And diesel should be all the engines really.

What a wonderful idea. Solar tracker is one of the best ways to maximize energy.

An acquaintance has a huge space age device, tracks the sun, and Fortis pays her every month.

We're a bigger family, plus many small devices that track the sun lining your roof or shed roofs, or fences, can replace one bigger item that cost her a fortune to install.

Just concerned with fires and everything has to pet friend, bird friendly.

If you're doing paper batteries and that's what I'm seriously thinking, you'd want to stack them vertically together with the thinnest of plexi glass type or conductive plastic, something inbetween them and bundled up, or horizontal.

I'm not sure what these batteries are.

I pray for Germany. I hope all the people who know how to operate their complicated heating systems haven’t disappeared yet.

There are plenty of videos of people converting their gas generators to run HHO. Most of these generator sets have a 12v 10A charging output which can be used to crack the H2 out of water..or better yet, out of urine, that way you get an extra hydrogen atom to boot.

The simplest solution is often the best.
Turn a pressure cooker or old propane tank into a water boiler.
Steam has a lot of power when harnessed well.
Plus you can heat your home without wasting anything.
15 psi will power a flywheel that will turn a car alternator.
I could make one with an old trundle sewing machine and the right piston and a tin can fire under a pressure cooker.
Rehab old car batteries and wire as much stuff 12v DC as possible.

I could power and heat my home with a pile of trash.

I still don’t exactly understand how the mechanism of a solid-state propane refrigerators actually work, but I know there are no moving parts and it’s just water, ammonia and the evaporative principle.

The psychopaths in charge spent at least the past century reverse engineering good, simple, reliable technology so that we have to keep paying for it.

I was fantasizing today that a Tesla turbine would make and ideal airplane propeller engine. It doesn’t have a lot of torque, but the faster you go, the faster it can go.

That is interesting. This is really important because diesel can run biofuel and oils, but gas motors are always a problem.

In fact in the past they did the HHO with the diesel as well.

Five stars. Excellent insight. I would just offer that the problem is energy. As well as geological in terms of the profitability diminishing so persistently. Biofuel as yet takes more joules to produce than you get out of the product. It's what I've heard people call a "net energy loser", and it turns out we actually implement many "solutions" that take more energy to implement than they provide. Like solar, or a wind turbine. Sure, they can generate energy but remember how much energy had to be expended to enable that functionality. The fact is...the energy it takes to stand up the solution far exceeds the energy the device will collect throughout its lifespan. Don't misunderstand me. They can be useful solutions in certain circumstances. But overall, it's an investment that energy wise, you lose. I guess you could look at it as an "accepted loss" for the functionality of the device.
Anyway...the reason I brought it up is that I've noticed a LOT of people think of technology and energy as the same thing. They're not. Technology requires immense amounts of energy to be expended before the "technology" becomes functional. Not to mention maintenance. That takes energy too. Like I said, the problem is geological.

You can layer with a sheet or something, but a REAL wool blanket really can't be beat. They'll keep you warm when wet. It's a fantastic characteristic of a good wool blanket. They're cheap, durable, and I LOVE a good wool blanket.

OP needs to go off grid and learn how difficult it is to make power.

If you want to be free, some solar and wood heat is the best option. Good luck doing AC on solar. Its possible but can be $$$. Heat is not a problem if you can source wood.

Well I just took notes on his hemp ink video, its in his members only, and so can't post it.

What I find about the hemp is they hide everything. They hide the batteries, everything that can be done with this super fiber and its remarkable cells the Globalists and Oil industry absolutely hates and even when they allowed its use again, they just wanted a few token big business companies to brag about all the things it can do, but hide how to do it.

INSTEAD IT NEEDS PEOPLE PATENTS. OPEN SOURCE. With competent Diy instructions for everyone for every single use of it.

He basically took about 160 grams of hemp fibres, and in a bucket he had potassium carbonate, half that weight, so 80 grams, dissolved in water.

He wore gloves as its still alkaline, but safer than others and put the hemp fiber in the bucket and made sure it was covered by the liquid and left it for 24 hours.

It came out black carbonized chunk that you can separate and still retains some of its structure.

Then he put it in a stainless steel sugar can with a small hole in the lid, but others use a paint can, same hole, and just throw it on the fire. He put it in a shop kiln at 800 C.

One hour later he took it out and cooled it down.

So 160 grams of hemp is now about 45 grams and is carbonated and activated.

So to clean it he breaks it up and washes it in vinegar, soaks it, then in water, then dries it.

He uses a blow dryer alot so maybe he did that.


He turns it into an ink and this is where experimentation and not having open source patents available for everything like this with good diy instructions. Because all this experimenting, ordinary people won't do it.

But this entire thing should sell in rather inexpensive kits for people, that even teens can do with rubber gloves on.

Now he says that it all depends on your 2 elements, carrier and binder.

Carrier will be water so several types of binders can be used, including polyurtherane and acrylics.

His favorite is cmc/sbr binder or rubber.


He uses them in 7% cmc and 30% sbr mix in a water carrier and you have to keep it in the fridge or it goes off, goes bad.

So he didn't use very much water, and then the starting point that he had success with was 5% ratio of binder to the hemp material, so 5% of 45 grams.

Dissolved in water, then adds the hemp, in a small bucket, and it was too sticky clumpy so he added more water, just a bit, a tbspn or so more, so it was a slurry.

Then he put it in his 3 roll mill 5 times. You can use a mortar and pistle and do small lots by hand.

He got it to even particles.

Then he choose to experiment using flexible graphite paper.

He says to experiment, and take notes until you have the proper ratios.

The ratios will be binder, do you need 4%, 5%, 6%. 5% seemed to work in his sample.

Do you need small particles, or slightly bigger but still not big.

So its percentage of binder and particle size that makes it work as a cell.

in projects when the ink works he likes stainless steel mesh as a kind of paper or flexible material, or aluminum paper, various kinds. Conductive kinds are nice.

he cut the graphite paper in 2 3 inch roughly or 4 inch squares. Put two rows of masking tape just in from the sides, so a rectangle in the middle.

He painted it on evenly but I don't think overly thick.

Again density and equipment to measure is all supposed to be important.

He tested it, he was mumbling and over and over I listened but couldn't tell the name of his testing equipment.

So he called these squares super capacitors. He put on some blue paper towel or fiber on it, put sodium sulfite or salt water on it, sandwhiched the two cells together and then somehow charged it with the electronic type testing equipment and then ran a small device.

I had to question the salt part, is it conductive, I'm sure salt water batteries exist.

Anyway.

The point is people can experiment with this because making batteries that stack on flexible paper type material is way cheaper so if one spends time and takes notes, they will in the end save alot of money.

Because lithium, lead or other types of big storage batteries are really expensive and have to be replaced alot.

If you holed up and got this right, that would be really great.

No, because whenever you do something in desperation, it sucks.

When you're in your own space, your own property, and you are experimenting, its fun.

To me, even carving half the cost of your energy bill in half is a huge huge huge bonus.

For example, ours is 600 dollars electric bill in winter. And I'd love it to be 200.

Getting off grid would even be better.

My method that I am going to use for our house and greenhouse, is to soundproof the shed and put stirling engines in it, in our case solar, possible a few simple wind, to run a heater so the stirling engines work.

I just want many small ones that we can replace as needed to create lots of power.

And I want the boys to really learn how to make all of this so when I'm gone they're not helpless.

There are few other devices I'm interested in, mainly cavitation type ones that cause implosion.

You take 2 drums, with shapes carved into one, closely fitting so water has friction when its pushed between the rotating layers and pounded out the shapes/holes.

The fun is in experimenting.

And never ever again allowing yourself to be exploited by anyone.

I also like biofuels, and love pellet stoves as well.

Hemp batteries are supposed to out perform lithium.

Power isn't created or destroyed. It's generated. Using other forms of energy to accomplish a situation where you get as much more energy as possible than you give.

Iron, readily available, copper too, both are rich in this area I live in, iron everywhere in the slide areas, in the cliff sides, in the water, and copper mines in the area too.


And substitutes for hemp. Hemp is cool, but the remarkable cells in it are similar to Corn Husks, Straw, and Flax.

For a hemp battery you can substitute corn husks, flax, or buy a bale of straw. Pretty cheap.

Probably growing near you.

I would love Hemp and Iron type batteries.

There's an easier way; burn their so-called leaders and rebuild a respectful relationship with Russia, move NATO out of Ukraine and stop sending weapons.

Pay for gas as fair market prices in whatever currency the seller requires.

what is the goal? to create energy for a house or community?

step 1> get rid of greed. that leads to corruption.
2> teach and reward community spirit and accomplishments. not with sports. but pipe that energy into things that benefit the community.

3> won't b easy and will take years to pay off. i do think such an idea could work but in small community not large metro cities.

4> everyone must work toward a common goal. not at the same time ,mind u. and in relation to their ability. an elderly person has some ability but won't do work that a 25 yr old man would. takes leadership and management.

we have the tech to do much, but do we have the brains? we need to start by tearing down govern's that are corrupt and have lied to us. then start with local govern. with the power and have them designate rules to county and state then to FED levels. we are backwards.

Garages, that many elderly home owners don't use as much, where you train up locally, teens, to be able to set up systems for people.

I'd do lay away, pay a couple hundred a month and your system is set up.

I think this is a great business and every town should have several of them.
