Its dark, but its not a new state of matter. The reason for the anomalous gravitation of galaxies is likely due to rogue and freefloating planets that were ejected from their stellar systems. This process occurs MUCH ore frequently than commonly thought. Galaxies probably have twice as many rogue worlds (of upto Jupiter size) with no star to oribt as they do full star systems. Without a nearby star, these worlds are all but invisible. Hence "Dark" "matter". |
