This ultimately is the sad truth.

I heard my 16 year old nephew the other day say “happy wife, happy life” and wept inside. Didn’t correct him though because I’ve already given up on him, and his shitlib mother was right there. The irony is his mother is miserable and humorless, so not sure how he thinks he came to this conclusion.

I could tell this kid the sky is blue and his parents and school would convince him it’s malarkey. If I wanted them to believe something false, all I would have to do is tell them something is true. Like a kneejerk reaction, they will believe it is false. Not even exaggerating. I would have told him that the happy wife, happy life philosophy is a recipe for his own misery, but it would have only enforced it. Oh, well. He’ll just have to learn on his own because my brother won’t set him straight when he’s already caught in the same trap.
