Re: The battle of the wore out sliding glass door
My little brother had the end of one of his fingers chopped off by the sliding glass door in the house we grew up in when he was 5. 30+ years later, he still refuses to go near sliding glass doors.

bless his little heart. sliders glass doors can be very dangerous to kids and big dogs.

how are they holding up?

you don't have to put up with shitty working doors. easy to fix

Terribly. All sliding doors. $10.00 fix from a "wheel shop"??

What is a wheel shop?(lol)

Is it one size fits all? I just say, "it's for a sliding door"?

Does the door need to come off to install it?

Buy Pella & no issues. 20 years and works as great as when it was installed.

I just replaced the latch and wheels on a 40 year old pella door. Latch alone was over $250 for Pella parts. Bottom of the door had rotted out and needed to be replaced as well. Great when they work but having a strange house with 5 doors on the back is overkill.
Gen. John B Gordon and Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest were the finest citizen-soldiers birthed in America.

Probably the late 80's

They're the kind that open from either side/direction

Thank you :)

lol i can almost see it rolling through your mind
wall

a hookup for the right parts first. your at thirty..is in the old category. you know the nearest town and so forth. getting that lined is a big deal. no one wants to take down a door and wait a week or two while they try to figure out parts.

i just cleaned the header up a bit more. you will know the question to ask
