People that post this crap from Elon Darpa suffers exactly of the same mental disease of those who think Trump us baby jesus. Their ability to cherry picking and being completely blind to the evil of these characters is by itself a mental disease.

The issue isn't exactly the numbers themselves, but the ability to support those numbers in a healthy way.

We don't have that. A large amount of the world lives in poverty, the small rich faction sucks everything up and we exist in an endlessly inflating spiral of consumerism. Constantly needing more and more and more for a population that was no self-control. There just are too many people, we exceeded the limits of what we can manage. We're having a very negative effect on the environment too.

The Earth can sustain us in theory, but we can't sustain ourselves in practice. Musk is ignoring the important point. Birth/death rates are not what matters.

you can take every single American citizen, throw them into Texas so that there are no humans anywhere else but in Texas... and each person could have a half acre of their own.
