So do you do that after you enter thread title or op?

More of a pain in the ass than watching it evaporate?

I've lost some great replies I've made on threads that have disappeared and have no idea what happened.

I have to stop wasting my writing on this place as it keeps getting deleted through no discernible fault of my own.


Mostly religious or ancient history insights without hate or judgment.

By “watch it evaporate”, do you mean a trigger happy mod deleted it or you can’t see it at all after you hit post?

If it’s the latter, you can hit backspace to retrieve the rough draft of what you wrote and figure out what word(s) ghosted your comment. I much prefer that over an instaban although both are stupid.

Bot moderation is counterproductive to free speech and shouldn’t be used here.

No one wanted to see how many cucumbers you could fit in your ass anyway.

It happens to me on shorter posts, but long enough to be annoying.

I think that's why some people prefer those teaser threads, where they just offer a little bit of information at a time, and everybody gets P.Oed.

Next time that happens just hit the back key, your text will still be there. Then you have to figure out the offending word.

That is annoying too.

I had a long text in which I had a typo.

I misspelled "like", with a 'K' in place of the 'l'.

Who even cares about what must be an obsolete word?

Totally, but sometimes it happens long after I've moved on and I do so much copying to the clipboard here that it gets overwritten :( In fact this just happened again going from one computer to another so had to go back out and interrupt my son to email myself my clipboard contents. Exhausting! lol

Not enough eyerolls.

I have and now always hit preview post to make sure everything renders properly. This procedure always works and is recommended constantly by every poster of renown here.

NOPE!! I've gone sayonara THREE (3) TIMES in the space of 10 min for posting the same thing, AFTER PREVIEW!!!

Changed words and still BANG! GONE.

PREVIEW will NOT show you what will not come thru. Try it with known offensive, you'll see it show up fine in preview.

Do NOT hit send or you're gone!

Also: some words come back and you can post them (G-word, B-word that this poster is talking about) OR some users are allowed carte blanche and can post them and I CAN'T.

Which is it?

Here's a little secret that works sometimes:

Post a blank reply with just a sentence or two or even just a letter.

Hit Edit post. Now paste your real reply and hit update.

Instead of eating your post, it will often post it but any offensive words are replaced and you can spot what needs to be corrected

This place has the potential to be great with a simple layout that’s pleasing to the eyes and the ability to post without an account.

But Trinity wants it to be trash for reasons unknown.

This forum used to be great before the Trump cult/craze took over. Mods refuse to bring it back to its former glory which is a crying shame.

Happened to me twice and I longer bother.

Same shit happens to me....even when you try and tiptoe around the 'delicate' subjects. Its gotten to the point where every time i submit a reply I'm almost expecting to see the 'banned' screen.

And to think people pay for this kind of censorship.

Yup, it shows up on the preview OK, but then won't post because of a trigger word.

I've never invested hours, even though I frequently put some detail in what I compose. But I've spent a few minutes and considerable concentration, and after a post is rejected without explanation, it's hard to recreate it.

Unless you remember to select and copy before you click Post. I've had mixed experience in going back a page and finding it.

And when I'm informed that I've suddenly been BANED, there's no backtracking.

All I can figure is that I must've used a forbidden word, a word sufficiently libelous that not only is the post rejected, but I'm personally rejected. We know we can't make reference to certain religions. One in particular. Merely looking at these people reminds them to be victims. Sometimes, though, I have no guess what I said that provoked the wrath of the banehammer. Or maybe it's not a matter of having said something that's not allowed; maybe they're not-so-subtly hinting that I'll do fine on seven meals per month, and I should send the dollars for the other five to them.

Yea well I try to tiptoe around myself..
