Can anyone explain to me in laymen's terms how inflation rate is calculated?
They seem rather full of shit to me the way they say US has 10% inflation when everything I see is twice as much as last year, some shit is multiple times as expensive.
Quoting: Dr. Feelgood This is the problem. I know that the Chapwood Index keeps track of cost of living inflation in the US pretty accurately as does Shadow Stats. But the Austrian School of Economics keeps it simple. They define inflation as the increase in the monetary base. So that means .gov deficit spending. Which, over the past 80 years or so has been at least 8.5% annually.
