Can anyone explain to me in laymen's terms how inflation rate is calculated?
They seem rather full of shit to me the way they say US has 10% inflation when everything I see is twice as much as last year, some shit is multiple times as expensive.

Prices have gone up a bit but not like you are making it out to be. I go shopping all the time and I would say prices are up about 10 to 15 percent. That's what happens when you start paying everyone that's complaining more money when thaters a labor shortage it all evens out. And the 15 dollar an hour McDonald's worker is actually probably better off now.
