Can anyone explain to me in laymen's terms how inflation rate is calculated?
They seem rather full of shit to me the way they say US has 10% inflation when everything I see is twice as much as last year, some shit is multiple times as expensive.

They break just like the cheap ones and cost 2x as much...but NOW it's like even the CHEAP ones cost what the brand name used to cost and brand name goes up every week 5 or 10 percent. Thing is, we will NEVER RETURN back to pre spring levels on ANYTHING ever again. Not gas or utilities or rent...not even a fkn box of cheap ass crackers. THAT'S the reality. And people aren't buying as much. The ones you see now are spending their savings on food and supplies but they'll be broke before its over. The food stampers and billionaires will make out swimmingly, one feeding off of the other.
