ya im not sure if the person chose the song on purpose, but it seems to be a slavic sounding instrumental cover of "the kids arent alright" by the Offspring, and when I thought about it it kind of fits, the song is about kids having a bunch of hopes and dreams and then their lives being ruined "Chances thrown, nothing's free, Longing for what used to be, Still it's hard, hard to see, Fragile lives, shattered dreams" sad to think this is probably a bunch of young dudes who thought they had a whole life ahead of them getting blown up in a field...

I like this video for two reasons. First, it shows that the Marines at Ugledar were not wiped out (he corrects in a follow up tweet that these are Marines, not VDV). Secondly, this shows highly coordinated and professional small unit tactics, not "human wave" nonsense.

Both types are armored combat vehicles, but still not the same thing.

That was the translation of the text in the article. I know what it is. It's a support armored car. Pretty decent 105mm gun. Decent sights, and a pretty fast car. It's not something that's going to be sent against Russian tanks, but it's a decent fast infantry support weapon.

And now something that's actually really scary.
Looks like the Chinese are learning the most out of this Russia-Ukraine war.
They are making combat drones at industrial scale.

Been thinking about that over the last year. Just think of the havoc that could be wreaked by a drone swarm. Not to mention the aspect of plausible deniability.

A major multi-pronged drone attack could be launched by any of America's numerous enemies from Mexico (or from our home turf for that matter). And balloons from anywhere along the jet stream. Interesting times.

The UN has recognized the shooting of Russian prisoners of war by Ukrainian soldiers and their other actions as a war crime. This was reported by the organization.

"The commission recognizes as a war crime the incident when Russian prisoners of war were shot," the organization said on its official website. It added that facts of torture and wounding of Russian prisoners of war also belong to war crimes.

The Russian Armed Forces eliminated Ukrainian fighters from the 80th AFU Brigade who executed Russian POWs in Makeyevka. This happened during an assault near Krasny Liman.

"Part of the squad that executed our prisoners of war fighters in Makiivka was destroyed. The rest of the fighters were liquidated during the attack," the Russkaya Vesna portal reported.

The United States of America will send to Poland 800 Hellfire air-to-ground missiles, which the former advisor to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Oleksiy Arestovych, earlier requested for the Ukrainian army. This is reported by representatives of the U.S. defense cooperation agency.

"The State Department issued a determination approving the potential ... sale of AGM-114R2 Hellfire missiles and related equipment to the Polish government for an estimated amount of $150 million," the report said, according to RIA Novosti. The U.S. military noted that the transfer of the missiles should improve the Polish army and strengthen their relations with the U.S. army.
