It is far more strategically important to Russian efforts than Bahkmut is.

Wagner has drawn in a large amount of Ukie reserves to Bahkmut, making relief of a cut off Adiivka far more difficult.

Remember, the entire city is a fortress, above and below ground, that the Ukies have spent 9 years building. If it falls, attacking Donetsk becomes far more difficult.

Is it my imagination or are these US arms packages actually getting smaller over time? Maybe Joe is stretching out alllocating what is budgeted, pending the results of the long-rumored Ukrainian spring/summer offensive

Railfan videos from this weekend show a LOT of stuff moving east to the military ports, Hummv's, an entire train full of LATV's, and even railroad locos that have Ukrainian colors under the black plastic wrap.

The National Guard depots in the red states have been stripped of vehicles to be sent east.

It seems the Uke lines are getting weaker as troops are being pulled here and there and attrition taking hold. We are getting closer to a fallback. Maybe it will provoke a desperate attempt at something.
